The first major DLC expansion for Starfield has arrived and it introduces a whole new planet, together with a range of new and old problems.

Shattered Space, Starfield's very first expansion, draws differing reviews from players as the DLC earns itself a mixed review score on Steam.

Xbox offers new Starfield: Shattered Space-inspired controllers through Design Lab. Custom controller designs inspired by the expansion feature unique pink and purple hues. Bethesda aims to bring attention to Starfield with the expansion, hoping for a surge in player engagement.

Bethesda has confirmed Shattered Space is launching on Monday, September 30 for Xbox Series X/S and PC. And in case you want to know exactly when in the day you'll be able to dive in, Bethesda also revealed the complete list of Shattered Space release times across the globe. Those are as follows:

Once you own Shattered Space and download it, you can load up Starfield. The only in-game requirement to begin Shattered Space is to complete the game's first mission, One Small Step. This mission takes you to Jemison on New Atlantis in the Alpha Centauri system. You don't need to join Constellation to complete the mission.

Time has not aged my initially very positive perception of Starfield very well, and many aspects of Shattered Space reinforce this.
