The National Weather Service has extended the excessive heat warning yet again. The heat warning, which was issued on Sept. 30, has been extended to 11 p.m. on Saturday. KRON4 meteorologist John Sharble forecasted that the weather will be cooler starting Sunday,

“All of the heat warnings and advisories — they’ve all been extended,” NWS meteorologist Nicole Sarment said. “We’ve got a tiny disturbance (Friday), and the main threat from that will be an increase in winds, and there’s some degree of moisture. But this isn’t over yet.”

An excessive heat warning has been extended for much of the Bay Area through late Friday night, as a late season heat wave continues to bring hot temperatures to the region, some of which have been record-breaking.
