After being ousted in August, former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is playing the waiting game as an interim government tries to sort out a new future.

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Detective Branch has apprehended Kamal Naser Chowdhury, former principal secretary and adviser of ousted Bangladesh prime minister Sheikh Hasina, and several other former government functionaries,

Speaking at the Clinton Global Initiative, Dr Muhammad Yunus introduced and praised the young leaders who drove the student-led movement that led to Sheikh Hasina's ouster.

Bangladesh interim government leader Muhammed Yunus hinted at a conspiracy in Sheikh Hasina’s ousting, praising student activism , and identified Mahfuj Abdullah as a significant figure in the protests.

The interim head of the Bangladesh government called Mahfuz Abdullah and two other student leaders on the stage and lauded them for sparking a revolution that "shook the entire country".
