There's a small shop inside, after you have entered the premises and begun walking through the corridor, that sells biscuits, wafers and the like. You're probably referring to the Falaknuma Palace which is now a grand hotel and restaurant run by Taj and requires prior booking.

Yes there are lawns and shades inside the palace but don't know if u can have picnic inside. Otherwise go there after lunch as there is no restaurant inside or nearby
